This demonstration class will provide a hands on interactive environment showing the latest state-of-the-art survey technology including both 3-D Laser Scanning, and Unmanned Aerial Surveys. These technologies will allow less field time, provide verified accuracy (millimeter accuracy), increased safety, fewer return trips to the site, and current aerial imagery. These technologies can provide orthophotography, topographic mapping, 3D point clouds, video capture, before and after planarity heat maps, and stone, asphalt, and earthwork quantities. Additionally, the program will include in-depth demonstration of how the computer software interprets and processes the data, and what outputs are available with today’s technologies.
Health, Safety and Welfare
Via hands on demonstrations, learn what 3-D Scanning is and how it works; Learn how 3-D Scanning can improve work flow and the planarity of sports surfaces; Through live demonstrations, learn how Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) can be used in survey applications; Learn the importance of survey level scanning and survey level UAV aerial photography vs. regular drone photography.
