Description
This course is about Sustainable Residential Design and Stormwater Management through Green Infrastructure Installations. The course will begin with an overview of different types of green infrastructure techniques that residential landowners can implement to better manage stormwater. More in-depth instruction will follow specifically on rain gardens, a rain barrel demonstration, and proper fertilizer application with demonstration. These presentations will be followed by a field tour of three local residences to see the practices discussed, first-hand. The field tour will also include instruction and further details, as well as time for questions from participants.
