Description
Touring the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Roger Gettig, Director of Horticulture and Conservation will give a tour of the outdoor gardens and Mark Bir, Glasshouse Manager will give a tour of the biomes. They will speak for two hours on topics they are passionate and knowledgeable about, tailoring commentary specifically toward the needs of landscape architects. Mr. Gettig and Mr. Bir will talk about permeable surfaces; the importance of thinking globally while acting locally; the architectural beauty of plant design and diversity; modern earth-friendly approach to hardscape; water handling; and heat-and-light management in the landscape and around buildings.
