Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to identify the variables when considering ground covers, including site conditions, erosion control, water management, soil improvement, and aesthetic appeal.

Learners will be able to distinguish the types and species of grasses in turf grass and discuss necessary site conditions, planting methods, and sodding techniques.

Learners will be able to identify strategies for maintaining healthy turf, including mowing and watering, pest control, and disease control.

Learners will be able to identify and describe living and non-living alternative ground covers and their maintenance requirements, and they will be able to identify and describe strategies for urban prairies, pollinator habitats, edible ground covers and other sustainable options.
