Description
This course discusses the technique of bare root planting as an alternative to planting trees that have been balled and burlapped or containerized. It defines this practice and discusses the advantages and disadvantages regarding labor costs, equipment needs and plant survival. It describes in detail the steps to take for each of these methods when planting, irrigating, fertilizing and staking trees.
