Description
-Stormwater Mitigation Utilizing Suspended Pavement in Uptown Normal, IL: Al Key, DeepRoot Green Infrastructure - Pollution Prevention/Good Housekeeping Assessments for Over 1000 Municipal Facilities: John Aldrich, CDM Smith; Patrick Parault - Arcadis. New York City developed a pollution prevention / good housekeeping program for a variety of on-site and off-site operations associated with over 1,000 municipal facilities. This presentation will describe how fifteen independent agencies, collaborating through a Stormwater Controls Working Group, worked together with two independent consultant teams to develop and implement this program.

1-Standard operating procedures provide consistent self-assessment protocol for assessing storm water pollution risk at over 1,000 facilities operated by fifteen agencies within New York City. 2-Guidelines for a range of municipal operations supported a structured approach for selecting stormwater control measures appropriate for the assessed pollution risk. 3-Walk-through assessments with facility managers and Agency leads allowed City contractors to prepare accurate assessments and gain buying to appropriate stormwater controls.
