Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to reference and understand select provisions of federal and state wetland laws, including the Federal Clean Water Act and the Virginia Tidal Wetlands Act of 1972, and they will be able to identify wetland law enforcement agencies.

Learners will be able to explain the importance of wetlands, identify wetland vegetation and soils, and underlying wetland hydrology.

Learners will be able to participate in the wetland permitting and certification process and be able to identify necessary federal and state permits.

Learners will be able to develop and apply wetland preservation strategies and assist in wetland creation and enhancement projects.
