Description
This presentation debates the strengths and limitations of various cases of inclusive designs.
However well intended, the various national guidelines and acts on accessibility and
inclusive design occasionally seem close to counterproductive to practitioners. Playground
and play equipment designs across the globe, aimed at users with disabilities, may even fail
in appealing to the intended user group and rest unused. This seems to hold true for special
design play equipment in particular.
