Description
Brian Chu and Conor Coghlan from A05 Studio in Red Hook review the exciting eight month history of their firm. Specializing in custom design and fabrication, A05 Studio collaborates with leading architects and world class brands to realize concepts into built forms. This course examines recent A05 projects ranging as widely from Toshiko Mori’s installation at the Chicago architecture Bienialle to a sneaker store in Williamsburg. The presentation features in depth examination of A05’s creative process and design development. Chu and Coghlan explain how they use social media, such as Youtube and Instagram, to document and promote their work to a large audience of past and potential clients as well as generally interested parties. The course sheds light on the fabrication process, providing insight to designers about industry techniques and facilitates better cooperation and results from collaboration.
