Learning Outcomes
1) Identify the five key reasons for exterior lighting.
2) Differentiate operating properties and equivalency between traditional light sources and contemporary light sources.
3) Recognize potential influencers of exterior lighting and controls to include legislation, regulations, codes and standards, and utility incentives.
4) Recognize the factors that are currently under discussion between lighting professionals and the American Medical Association regarding developing science regarding "light at night", in particular, light sources which emit excessive levels of blue light.
