This 2-hour interactive online course contains case summaries of court decisions reported in the ConstructionRisk.com Report, in which contractors filed suit against design professionals. The contractors in these decisions alleged they were entitled to recover damages from the design professionals for a number of reasons, including:
a) Negligence
b) Interference with contracts
c) Misrepresentation
d) Failure to manage payment certifications properly
e) Faulty cost estimates, and more...
The economic loss doctrine protecting the design firm in many cases will also be explained.

At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
