Fabric-Formed Concrete Structures
Using simple construction methods with the use of flat sheets of fabric as formwork molds for
reinforced concrete construction, CAST (Centre for Architectural Structures and Technology) produces new architectural and structural forms. This course presents several ways to create beautiful and unique structural forms with a sleight of hand and the use of simple tools and methods, which result in substantial reduction in the consumption of building materials when it comes to concrete construction.
Examples and case studies are presented so that participants can
understand how certain concrete fabric installations were created and how it benefits not only the
building owners but also the community.
