Description
This is a 6.5 hour live lecture presentation with the instructors and students together in the same room. It will be conducted in a handicap-accessible conference room with ample seating space and writing surface for all attendees. Bound written materials, authored by the faculty, will be distributed to all participants at the program. Attendance will be monitored and reported to LA CES.

This seminar will cover federal and state accessibility requirement compliance and meeting the standards of the International Building Code and the Americans with Disability Act

Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to discuss the relationship between federal accessibility standards (Americans with Disability Act, Federal Housing Administration, Section 504), state requirements, and building codes.

Learners will be able to identify and describe readily-achievable barrier removal in structures.
Learners will be able to identify which structures and facilities are covered by accessibility requirements.

Learners will be able to identify and comply with IBC and ADA accessibility standards for exterior and interior accessible routes, ramps and stairways, entrances and doors, toilet facility access, meeting areas, recreational areas, drinking fountains, and showers.
