This course discusses the professional conduct and ethics standards put forth in by the ASLA. Landscape Architects have the responsibility to follow the standards described in the Canons discussed in the ASLA Professional Conduct and Ethics Standards. These canons discuss the professional responsibility and member responsibilities associated with being a landscape architect and member of the ASLA. Specifically, the course discusses: bribery, government employees, recognition of the contribution of others, advertising, receiving compensation, misrepresentation of skills, copyright, and disclosure. The rules of filing and resolving a complaint are discussed. Ethics examples are used to illustrate different facets of professional conduct and ethics.
