Description
Panelists will discuss the fundamentals of trauma-informed design through the lens of two recently completed and distinct projects with a 360-degree perspective offered by constituents from the client organization. Representatives from Y2Y Harvard Square Youth Shelter, a private non-profit, will offer their perspective on the benefits of a space developed using trauma-informed design principles, while Liz Minnis will provide her perspective as a Deputy Commissioner from DCAMM for projects at the public level. Shauna Gilles-Smith of Ground, Inc. will comment on the role of landscape in trauma-informed design. The conversation will be moderated by Gail Sullivan FAIA of Studio G Architects.
