Description
What is in the Public's Interest? Although the question appears simple, it is answered through an often complex process of moving parts, interdisciplinary collaborations, and numerous voices. While practitioners who focus on public-interest design may be well-equipped to navigate the complexities, designers working within the private realm likewise have roles in contributing to the enhancement of public space. What can we learn from one another? How can we best elevate the built environment to meet the aspirations of our public? We begin this conversation. The speakers present a wide-range of roles within public-interest design, each providing a unique perspective on the process. Come hear how professionals collaborate with their community at numerous scales, and engage in a dialogue about how this might be incorporated into your own work.
