Description
Did you know that Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED Version 4 is now officially adopted by the United States Green Building Council? Since the first LEED Rating System launch, sustainable design and the idea of sustainable design has gone from a catchphrase to actually a prerequisite on how we build, maintain, and operate our buildings. The goal of sustainable development is to create healthy environments through things like responsible planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of those buildings. The heart of the sustainable building movement is the U.S. Green Building Council, USGBC LEED Green Building Rating System for buildings. This course today specifically covers the LEED for Operations and Maintenance and focuses on the ongoing operations and maintenance of existing commercial and institutional buildings.
