Description
A successful project is the result of many factors, but a well-organized project manager is one of them. The purpose of this course is to teach you the project management skills that are essential to starting a project off on a positive note. In this course you will learn how to start project meetings with your co-workers and the client and how to record and manage documents and files for others to use in your project manager’s notebook.

By the end of this course you will be able to:
Describe why a project manager should be briefed at the beginning of a project, and list the four goals of the briefing.
Discriminate between the components of an internal project kickoff meeting and external project kickoff meeting.
Identify the importance of a well-organized "paper" system and describe the different processes that must be maintained in
the system.
Explain what a drawing list and standard report outline are and how they should be used and maintained.
Identify the contents of project manager’s notebook.
Explain the importance of a Fast Start Plan and list the steps to create a plan.
